Starry, Starry Christmas Night: Only at DBP
We, the RMC-Eastern Visayas, hosted this year's Christmas Party. It's not that easy to organize the party especially if we're also part of the Chorale Competition. We have to juggle our time with the party preparations and singing practice. I almost felt like giving up because I don't sing very well, haha! But gladly I managed. Thanks to my fellow Alto members who helped me reached those notes, haha! Although, during the presentation itself I was not quite sure if there was a voice coming out of my mouth! Still, I performed with all my heart which many people noticed. Haha! :) Dinaan nalang sa projection, lol!
We've started this annual regional Christmas party in 2008. Each year would have different themes - Broadway, Hawaiian, Retro. Since we felt that the Christmas spirit is not that present anymore during the parties we decided to have just a "simple" Christmas Party. But what we were really looking forward aside from having the chance to mingle with the employees from other branches was the Chorale Competition. Each branch really did their best during the performance night. As early as September yung practice, haha! We really made time to rehearse after office hours. Almost all the trainors we hired for the competition were strict! Some would not even allow those who can't sing very well. Tsk..tsk... :) Aside from the voices, you can really tell that everyone prepared for the costume and props. Para na talaga kaming mga true chorale, hehe! :) Our competitive side is always unleashed during December. Even though the prize can't compensate the personal expenses we incurred...it's always worth it! Especially if you won coz you'll have the bragging rights that will last for a lifetime (?) Haha! :)

We really felt pretty that night. Thanks to Nick for our costume and Joseph for the make-up (you never fail me Joseph...thrice na ko nagpa-make-up sa'yo and I always love it! chos!)

What I've Learned In Our Almost 28 Months (And Counting) Relationship
I was inspired by Vern Enciso to share a post about my relationship with Ian. Ours is not a perfect relationship nor free from arguments but I believe it's a fun and blissful one. Every couple is unique and has their own love story so allow me to share what I've learned (and still learning) and what I realized along the way...
1. Love will find you. Falling in love is easy but maintaining the love needs work.
2. The differences of men and women doesn't stop in their biological features. Our brains are wired differently. It's way more complicated than that.
3. Men are not multi-taskers so they can't text while they're doing something.
4. If you say "ok" they would assume that, really, everything is alright.
5. You need to tell them straightforward what it is that you really want or else you would never have it. They're not good guessers.
6. Both men and women need some time off from the relationship. I mean, we still have separate friends and family that we need to spend some time right?
7. It is important that you still get to do what you love doing before you have each other.
8. Being in a relationship should not stop you from reaching that childhood dream.
9. Everything could be settled from rational and calm conversations.
10. It is not just about me and my needs anymore. I should also consider Ian's feelings and needs.
11. Communication is a must. A day shouldn't pass by without you two talking/calling/texting. A "how's your day?" or "good night" is already enough if you two are really busy.
12. Laughter keeps the relationship fun and sane.
13. Dates (and doing something new) keep your bonding closer and the romance intact.
14. Touching (like a hug, holding hands, or a squeeze in the shoulder) can make you feel that you're never alone.
15. Travelling allows you to know each other better.
16. Sharing the same values and perception help strengthen your relationship.
17. Monthsaries are not that essential but anniversaries should be celebrated because it's your way of looking back on how you two started.
18. Being crazy once in a while makes your relationship way, way fun :)
19. Supporting each other's endeavors makes you believe in yourself more and the more you get inspired to do things.
20. There are times that your partner's quirkiness may annoy you so patience is a must.
21. Your partner may disappoint you at times so you should never stop understanding.
22. Trust is crucial in any relationship. Being praning would do more harm than good.
23. Arguments will always arise. But remember to talk calmly and think before saying anything.
24. The relationship should help bring out the best in you. Not the worst.
25. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and care in a relationship.
26. Partnership means that major decisions should be consulted with your partner. You cannot just do things because you want to. You have to consider your partner's feelings. Partnership also means helping each other and being there for each other especially in times of crisis.
27. Appreciating your partner can boost confidence. Saying thank you or he looks good is nice. An honest opinion (be it good or bad) should always be welcome in any relationship.
28. Prayer is really, really important. No matter how good you do in a relationship, if it's not meant to be then it isn't... but we fight for the relationsship dba??? So we should also entrust the relationship to the Lord coz He's the only third party needed..

Been wanting to wear heels for the longest time. Thank God for this shoes (borrowed from my sister as well as the skirt and bag, haha...isn't it nice to have a sister?) which made the whole look more lady like. Grrrr....my hair needs a makeover already. I hope I'll be able to find time before the year ends. :)
